A question we regularly get asked is what equipment do we bring to a wedding day?
I think the main reason we get asked is to ensure we have backup equipment and its an important question.
Failures do happen the most important thing on your wedding day is… if it does it does not impact the day both in flow and images captured.
Its not about the equipment! – this is true
A good photographer can take great pictures with any camera they use – True…
However on a wedding day having quality reliable equipment is extremely important, this is a one off event! this is another reason why we always have two photographers, not only does it allow one to be more creative but also one less point of failure.
To limit the risk of equipment failure we only use professional grade Canon cameras and lenses. Each camera has two memory card slots, one primary and one backup, images are simultaneously recorded on both, in the unlikely event of a card failure the images are still saved on the other card.

All packed into our ThinkTank bag! – yes its heavy – luckily it has wheels!

The Canon R5 Mk2 is primarily used with the RF28-70mm f2 and one of the Canon R5’s has a RF24-105 f4. The Canon R1 is lightning fast and an absolute low light master, paired with the RF85mm f1.2 it will see in almost darkness!
Another bag contains the lighting equipment and some other backup equipment.
We also bring one of our drones so if possible we can get some great aerial shots!
